Everything Apple Just Announced – The Perfect iPad For Students
Apple has thrown a new entry-level iPad onto the market. At the launch event earlier this morning, Apple made it more than clear that the main target groups are students.
iPad 8. Gen
Apple does not often compare to its direct competitors. But this time they not only explained that the new entry-level iPad is 2x faster than the best selling Windows laptop, 3x faster than the best selling Android tablet, but also that it is up to 6x faster than the best selling Chromebook. The Chromebook is often used in schools — because it is cheap.
Accessories like keyboards were also discussed. As an example Apple didn’t take an own device but referred to Logitech keyboards, which are much cheaper. And of course the iPad 8th Gen works with the Apple Pen (1st gen) as well.
It starts at $329 and has the powerful A12 processor from the iPhone XS. A great deal!

iPad Air
The new iPad Air comes with the design we already know from the new iPad Pros. However, two things stand out at first glance: The iPad Air comes in five colors — Silver, Rose Gold, Space Gray, Green and Sky Blue.
Second: At 10.9 inches, the display is slightly smaller than that of the more expensive Pro models (11 inches), which makes the bezels looks just a little bit bigger.
Instead of Face ID, a Touch ID Sensor is used for the first time, which is integrated in the lock button. The new 5 nanometer chip A14 also celebrates its premiere — this time not in an iPhone but in an iPad!
Starting price is $599.

Fitness X
Apple also announced Apple Fitness+, a new fitness service that works perfectly with Apple Watch. This move was very predictable seeing Apple lean more and more into the service business in the last years. Also with the Watch Apple has built a tremendous platform that can now utilized by fitness courses etc. When buying a new Apple Watch you get 3 months free — hopefully falling in love witch this service and generating some fitness revenue for AAPL. On a serious note: This service looks promising and also works e.g. with the Apple TV.
Starting at $9.99/month or $79.99/year, which is cheaper than other fitness apps.
